Salish  sea  prayer  flags

I designed these flags of the Pacific Northwest with iconic symbols of our wildlife and landscape to honor a sense of PLACE - and to share a commitment to a healthy environment.

Display these inside your home or office, or outside in your yard. The images are silk-screened by hand onto sturdy cotton batik fabric. Flags measure 10” x 12” on ten-foot strands, and are handmade, Bainbridge Island, Washington, USA.

You can purchase a set of Salish Sea Prayer Flags ($39.95 + tax) from:

About prayer flags

The history of prayer flags dates back to ancient Tibet, China, Persia, and India, where they promoted peace, strength, and wisdom. They do not, as is commonly thought, carry appeals to the gods. Instead, the traditional belief is that the wind will spread prayers of good will and compassion to the surroundings for the benefit of all.
